Official rules
Community conversations identify questions. Airline, airport and regulator sources answer policy questions.
Visible uncertainty
Conflicts, incomplete records and our interpretation remain visible. Missing data does not become permission.
Checkable dates
Source-check dates are distinct from editing dates. Updating this website does not refresh an old source.
What has actually been checked
The dataset has 30 airline records. The archive dates mainly to 25 October 2026. Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Cathay Pacific and Changi guidance were reread on 27 October 2026. Other carrier records retain their 25 October source dates. Logic and editorial review occurred on 27 October.
Saved evidence includes full page captures and curated excerpts. Quote matching confirms that a quote occurs in saved text; it does not independently validate every derived claim. Some current browser-capture attempts failed, so we have not relabelled older archives as fresh captures. No independent human or aviation-expert audit has been completed.
Issues that remain open
- AirAsia, Vietnam Airlines and Qantas: conflicting over-100 Wh wording.
- United Airlines and Air China: incomplete or ambiguous fields.
- Some “under 100 Wh” wording does not clearly include an exact 100 Wh label.
- Individual airline implementation of the 2027 IATA standard still needs confirmation.
- We do not verify product authenticity, 3C certificates or each manufacturer’s recall database.
How a result is produced
- Use the printed Wh or an exact conversion from the actual nominal voltage. mAh without voltage produces an estimate and a request to check the label.
- Check each operating airline, count limit, date and supported departure rule. The strictest flight determines the trip headline.
- Keep carriage, use, recharging and overhead storage separate. “Not stated” stays unknown.
- Show the source and its check date with each flight. Evidence older than 30 days cannot produce a plain “within published limits”; after 90 days its confidence is low.
- Save a trip card for reference. It is not a certificate, an approval or a live source.
Maintenance, honestly
The project contains source-monitoring scripts, but a running unattended schedule has not been verified. We do not claim daily monitoring or a guaranteed response time. Changes must be reviewed against official wording before a record is updated. Logic tests and build checks catch specific errors; they cannot guarantee that all policy data is current or correct.
We cannot promise zero errors. The useful safeguards are traceable evidence, conservative handling of gaps, explicit scope and dates, and visible corrections. View corrections and updates.
Who runs this site
The operator has not yet provided a public name. That is a transparency gap, not an independent accreditation. PowerBank Pass is an independent reference and is not affiliated with any airline. There are no affiliate links, checkout or paid product rankings on this build.
Help correct a record
A public correction inbox has not yet been supplied by the operator. The form below creates a note on your device; it does not send a report. Use the linked official airline page for a travel decision that cannot wait.
Privacy
The checker calculates in your browser. This build has no analytics tags, advertising scripts or form submission endpoint. Flight inputs are not placed in the URL or sent to a server by the checker. Normal page requests still reach the hosting provider, Cloudflare; external source links open their respective sites. Saved trip cards and correction notes contain the information you enter, so keep or share those files intentionally.
